Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups low-fat or full-fat cottage cheese
- 1/3 cup buffalo hot sauce (such as Frank’s RedHot)
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 cup crumbled blue cheese or shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
- 2 tablespoons chopped green onions for garnish
- Fresh celery sticks, carrots, or tortilla chips for serving
Instructions
- Place the cottage cheese into a high-speed blender or a food processor. Pulse and blend on high for about 30 to 60 seconds until the mixture is completely smooth and no lumps remain. This step is essential for creating a dip-like consistency.
- Pour the blended cottage cheese into a medium-sized mixing bowl. Add the buffalo hot sauce, garlic powder, and onion powder. Use a spatula or whisk to stir the ingredients together until the color is uniform and the spices are well distributed.
- If you are using blue cheese crumbles or shredded cheddar, gently fold them into the mixture now. This adds a nice bit of texture and a boost of savory flavor to the dip.
- Transfer the dip to a serving bowl. Sprinkle the chopped green onions over the top for a pop of color and fresh flavor. Serve immediately or chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
