  • Total Time: 10 minutes

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups low-fat or full-fat cottage cheese
  • 1/3 cup buffalo hot sauce (such as Frank’s RedHot)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 cup crumbled blue cheese or shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped green onions for garnish
  • Fresh celery sticks, carrots, or tortilla chips for serving

Instructions

  1. Place the cottage cheese into a high-speed blender or a food processor. Pulse and blend on high for about 30 to 60 seconds until the mixture is completely smooth and no lumps remain. This step is essential for creating a dip-like consistency.
  2. Pour the blended cottage cheese into a medium-sized mixing bowl. Add the buffalo hot sauce, garlic powder, and onion powder. Use a spatula or whisk to stir the ingredients together until the color is uniform and the spices are well distributed.
  3. If you are using blue cheese crumbles or shredded cheddar, gently fold them into the mixture now. This adds a nice bit of texture and a boost of savory flavor to the dip.
  4. Transfer the dip to a serving bowl. Sprinkle the chopped green onions over the top for a pop of color and fresh flavor. Serve immediately or chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
