  • Total Time: 25 minutes

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/3 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Lemon wedges for serving

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Preheat and Prepare: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a large baking sheet with aluminum foil or parchment paper for easy cleanup. Lightly grease the foil with cooking spray.
  2. Step 2: Season the Salmon: Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels to ensure the glaze sticks well. Place the fillets on the prepared baking sheet. Sprinkle each fillet evenly with salt and black pepper.
  3. Step 3: Mix the Glaze: In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter, light brown sugar, minced garlic, and lemon juice until the sugar is mostly dissolved and the mixture is well combined.
  4. Step 4: Apply the Glaze: Spoon the brown sugar mixture over each salmon fillet. Use a pastry brush or the back of a spoon to spread the glaze evenly across the top and sides of the fish.
  5. Step 5: Bake to Perfection: Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake for 12 to 15 minutes. The internal temperature should reach 145°F (63°C), and the salmon should flake easily with a fork. For a crispier top, you can broil the salmon for the last 1-2 minutes of cooking.
  6. Step 6: Garnish and Serve: Remove the salmon from the oven. Sprinkle with fresh chopped parsley and serve immediately with fresh lemon wedges on the side.
