  • Total Time: 40 minutes

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cans (14.5 oz each) green beans, drained
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 1/3 cups French fried onions, divided

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). While the oven is heating, gather a 1.5-quart casserole dish or an 8×8-inch baking pan.
  2. In the baking dish, stir together the condensed cream of mushroom soup, milk, soy sauce, and black pepper until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
  3. Fold in the drained green beans and about 2/3 cup of the fried onions. Stir gently to ensure all the beans are coated in the creamy sauce.
  4. Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 25 minutes. The mixture should be hot and starting to bubble around the edges.
  5. Remove the dish from the oven and stir the bean mixture once more. Sprinkle the remaining 2/3 cup of fried onions evenly over the top. Return the dish to the oven and bake for an additional 5 minutes, or until the onions are a beautiful golden brown.
