Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt (plain or vanilla)
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder (optional)
  • 1 medium banana (peeled and sliced lengthwise)
  • 1/4 cup fresh strawberries (sliced)
  • 1/4 cup pineapple chunks
  • 1 tbsp dark chocolate chips or melted chocolate
  • 1 tbsp chopped walnuts or peanuts
  • 1 tsp shredded coconut (optional)
  • 1 maraschino cherry

Instructions

  1. In a small mixing bowl, combine the Greek yogurt and the vanilla protein powder. Stir vigorously until the powder is fully incorporated and the mixture is smooth and creamy. If the mixture is too thick, you can add a teaspoon of milk or water to reach your desired consistency.
  2. Peel your banana and slice it in half lengthwise. Place the two banana halves along the opposite sides of a shallow serving bowl or a traditional long “boat” dish to create the classic banana split look.
  3. Using a large spoon or an ice cream scoop, place the protein yogurt mixture into the center of the bowl, nestled right between the two banana halves.
  4. Evenly distribute the sliced strawberries and pineapple chunks over the top of the yogurt. These fruits provide a tart contrast to the creamy base.
  5. Drizzle your melted chocolate or sprinkle the chocolate chips over the fruit. Follow this with a sprinkle of chopped walnuts or peanuts and the shredded coconut for extra texture and healthy fats.
  6. Place a single maraschino cherry right on top of the yogurt mound. Serve immediately while the yogurt is still cold and the fruit is fresh.
